This is a standalone read with no cliffhanger. It has a HEA, it just takes a while to get there. !! It is a very funny, adventurous, sweet, lovely romance. You will love the hero, Vincent. He is an ex-SEAL turned baker. He is a sweetheart of a guy. He has a crush on a beautiful girl that runs the bar next door to his bakery. She comes in every morning for her coffee and a muffin. For over a year he has learned something new about her every day. He has not made a move because he doesn't feel worthy.The heroine is the co-owner of the bar. She and her brother inherited the bar when her father suddenly passed of a heart attack. Little did they know they also inherited his debt to the local mob. These guys are scary and the head guy has his eye on her. She wants nothing to do with the slimy little toad but she doesn't have a lot of ways to get away from him since he threatens her brother. However, he is definitely not aware of the SEAL next door.
The story has a lot of adventure as the two deal with the Boston mob. It is a sweet romance as Vincent protects the love of his life. I do wish the heroine had been a little less of a potty mouth and just a tad softer. But Vincent loves her so that is all that matters and you do have to hand it to her when she is telling the mob boss off. It was a very entertaining read and it does have a lovely end so I would definitely recommend it.

How does one fit in a navy seal/knight in shining (mostly) armor, a curvy girl, a mobster, and a bakery into one story? And make it work? I don't know, but Miss Tabatha Kiss did and it was so much fun.
Their timing sucks, but Evey and Vincent are doing their best to stick together, once their mutual attraction is confessed. Everyday she comes into the bakery for the last blueberry muffin and a large coffee and everyday she expects to see that someone beat her to that muffin. But they don't, mostly because Vincent saves her that muffin, lol. He notices everything about her and just can't help himself. We soon learn Evey' s family is knee deep in with some mobsters and the mob king is looking at her to pay off those debts by, well, you can imagine what he wants from Evey. But when Vincent finds out the mob wants his girl, all bets are off with this hero.

This was an amazing quick read. The characters were very likeable and their connections with each other were great. It was packed with action with a hint of mafia theme too. I also loved that the heroine is a curvy woman. I get tired of reading about women with perfect bodies and this was perfect. Vincent was amazing too. So loving and protective plus he bakes. He simply is the perfect man to have.
Romance is the name of the game in this book. This book delivers what we all want more romance and excitement in our life. Overall i am very well pleased with this book and the excitement it has brought me. This book had me unwilling to put it down until I turned the last page. Would I recommend this book to other people? Yes I would including friends .I absolutely think this is great book. This was such a great book. Funny, sexy, sassy and heartwarming. Evey is just a girl who thinks her hips are too wide and a bit too round. She owns and runs a bar with her brother. They work hard and try to stay afloat but it's not easy; especially because their father left them in debt to the mob. Vincent opened a bakery next door a year ago and knows he wants Evey, even if he doesn't think he deserves her. Vincent finally makes his interest known and things are looking great until the mob boss decides he wants Evey to work off the debt. Vincent isn't gonna let this happen. Evey is his and his alone and he will do what he has to do to make sure it stays that way. I loved this book. I loved Evey's and Vincent insecurities and how real the author made them seem. Every woman deserves a Vincent and every Vincent deserves his Evey. I highly recommend this book. It is definitely a winner. Found out about the sequel novella " A Muffin Top Christmas" at the end of the book and can't wait to revisit these characters and see what happens next.
Vincent & Evey saw each other everyday for a year as customer/baker. Vincent had a hard life growing up, and Evey's father was tied to the wrong people. They may have had different backgrounds, but in a way they were the same. Their chemistry was HOT, especially the first time they were together. Don't get me wrong, every time they were together got HOTTER & HOTTER. I absolutely loved the ending.
All women need a former NAVY Seal to bake her muffins and cupcakes. It is a sweet story, how two people just never make the first move until something bad happens. Evey is feisty when she needs to be and is brave enough to ask Vincent "why me?" I think every plus size girl would ask that question, and we all held our breath for the answer. They compliment each other and you want to know more about Vincent as you read. The title is silly, but the story is worth it.
