My body tensed as I lay naked on the bed. I shut my eyes, darkening things further. His footsteps drew closer on the tile floors of the penthouse. I knew he was close.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I couldn't stop reading until I knew if April and Mr. Atherstone were going to have some kind of future. If not, I wanted to see how baby visits would be handled should April get pregnant. And, if they were going to have a future, I wanted to see if it was the one I envisioned. I don't think there will be much disappointment in this read. It move along quickly and there is a fascinating surprise at the end. Good plot. Good characters. Good scenes and situations. This is the complete story. Glad it was because I don't usually buy incomplete books as rule. This story flowed well but the typos gave me start/stop effect. The price is a bit high too, I think. This is a good story but not THAT good. (I would rate more like a 3 1/2) You never really get to know the characters personally.
